Default Mix and match Prelude?

Has anybody ever though about completely re-doing their 5th gen to where it has a 4th gen front end? I think that would be the perfect lude... Not that I could ever afford to do it if it was possible, but I just keep wondering if people have tried, or even thought about doing it?

I really want to have 4th gen headlights, that's what I'm aiming for. What all (besides the hood and bumper) would I have to replace? I know this is probably a dumb question, and I'm sure I could figure it out with a little research, but I don't really have the time for research

I dont think that would look too good, like someone said, the 4th gen is more rounded where as the 5th has sharper lines, so it would look off it your fronts all rounded and the rest is not

I like the back end of a 5th, and the front end of a 4th. I love my 5th, just wondering if anyone has ever thought about this

You're probably right, it was just out of curiosity! I think I will like the look of my car a lot better after it gets a lot of body work done. The previous owner of my car beat it! So there's about 30-40 dents all over my car... I'm trying to save about $2k so I can get all of the dents removed.

$2K to get your dents removed?! That is retarded....do some reading and learn about what you are doing before you go ANY further.

4th gen front on 5th gen = not going to happen. Not that it isn't possible, but anyone with sense enough to be ABLE to do such a conversion would have sense enough not to do it.

I'm not spending 2k JUST to get the dents removed... I'm spending 2k to get a body kit painted and put on, plus a new hood, driver's side fender and the dents + paint.

if you dont have time to reseach then you dont have time to do this swap. or pay someone else to do it.

If you went the opposite direction and wanted the front end of a 5th gen and the rear of the 4th gen, thousands of people already have that. It's called a Ford Fusion.

Yeah, it is your car. I generally don't let anybody tell me what to do, I just wanted input lol. I couldn't afford to do that to my car, but I just think it would look more aggressive. Thanks!

How about you work with what you got. You have one of the nicest front ends if you would only work with it. The front end, lights, everything was made for your car... when you mess with things like this it will most likely not come off right. I am sure you have seen many show car mules that just look ugly. If you dont like these prelude fronts you should probably just go ahead and buy a 4th gen. Aggressive? lol...

Last pic shows you what you probably see everyday vs what you could have. You seem pretty new to the game so I hope some of these helped. If you still find yourself wanting the front end conversion and want to do it you will need:

- Headlights
- Custom modified bumper 4th or 5th gen
- Custom fenders to meet hood line and modified bumper
- Custom hood That lines up with everything

Worst of all... your going to need to pay someone to do it lol.
