Default RBC vs RRC: A visual comparison

I thought I'd share my views Between the 2006 Si manifold and the 2007 Type R manifold

^Something I forgot to add, the overall length or height is shorter on the RRC, so this means that the runners are shorter but in this you can see they are straighter too.

It's interesting how minute differences in the intake manifold and exhaust can create another 20 or so horsepower. I'm assuming that this is not a direct swap.

It is a direct bolt on, but sensory wise it MAY not be. Since this manifold doesn't use IACV port like the RBC, I wonder how this aspect would be handled.

with DBW I don't see how you would need IACV port seeing how the ECU can control the butterly plate.

The Si manifold is the SAME casting as the Euro R unit except the Euro R has a K20A2 TB flange bolt pattern.

They could be for a more sure fit between the rrc and the tb similar to a tongue and groove. Just a guess.

the RRC looks more like a mix of RBC/PRC DC5 type R manifold!

Yes, it's a direct swap thought the plastic cover won't.

The information I have from LoCash Racing is that RBC maninfold on the Accord Euro R has the same TB bolt pattern a DC5/EP3 has.

not true cause i had got the euro r im from locash years ago before the fg si was out , and i did my swap before karcepts came out with the adapter for the t/b so i used a accord t/b with a throttle cable bracket , sold that set up got a new rbc from the dealer and got a euro r throttle body and bolted it on

umm im kinda worried about the iacv port. since your deleting it with the rrc, wouldnt it mess up the idle?

Bro, How many times do I have to say idle control is maintained by the DBW and the computer adjusts the butterfly plate opening.

I have a customer I already installed this on and dyno'd

This is a straight bolt on

alright man. chill out. i didnt read the whole thread. i just looked at the fact that the rbc has a iacv port and the rrc doesnt. it was just a simple question.

so it would be cool to run a rbc gasket?

Yeah, 02-09 Civic Si gasket is golden. Chill out? I'm not even upset, don't know how you could come to that deduction over the web.

Yeah, I sell 50 RBC kits a month and I am used to including a 02-05 Si gasket and a 06-09 Si gasket.
