I am pretty sure its code 1. I turn the key, it doesnt start . I look at the ECU and there is a consecutive 1 1/2 sec blink . I am running a first gen B16a w/ a PR3 ECU. I just finished the swap last night when thids happened. Any help would be appreciated.

Primary O2 sensor ...Are you sure its not just blinjking once when you turn over the fuel pump ? Its suppose to flash fast 1 time when you do that ...Is it cranking over ?

 

Actually now I believe this is a code 10 (because it is a long blink). My car should still start though. If anyone has any ideas why it isnt, let me know. I am going to checlk over the distributer, plugs, and injectors (to see if they are working properly. Thanks

 

did you make sure to ground your valve cover???
all the wires fine on the starter?

 

if its code 1, thats O2 sensor, youll probably have to replace it

 

wires on the starter and valve cover are fine. I may be throwing the #10 code. #10 is a long continuous blink where as #1 is a short continuous blink

 

If it's an o2, then it should be throwing it right when you try to start it. The o2 code will be thrown after the car is warmed up. The o2 sensor doesn't start registering signals (It will register, but the ECU doesn't care) until the car is warmed up...

Also, if it's the o2, then it will still start. My CEL was on for like 3 weeks while my o2 was too far away from the engine (Put on ceramic header, and o2 didn't get hot enough)... Nothing bad, just crappy gas mileage and some black smoke...

its definately the #10 code then. I have a huge gas leek now in the fuel line, so I am going to get that fixed check the spark and make sure the firing order is right (I'm pretty sure it is though). If anyone here has any other ideas why my car wont start, let me know. AGAIN, ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE APPRECIATED

 

also FYI 1 is a malfunctioning/bad ECU

 

FYI code one is Oxygen Content which = 02

and code 10 is Intake air Temperature
