Default EP3 electric power steering

Hi noob here.
Due to new regulation we have to ditch our EG6 and get a 2 liter car in order to meet the new race regulation. We bought a used race EP3 and was not happy with the feel of the EPS. not much feedback form it as well as very light action.

Question :
- It is possible or has anyone swap the DC5 hydro PS into a EP3?
Have been thinking about it and will used a MRS electric hydro pump
(ala special projects) to replace the DC5 belt driven unit.
- add a potential meter to change the current setting to fine tune the steering speed.

Any advise will be greatly appreciate.

Move the subframe forward and get some castor, that will give you more on center feel. The dc5 ps set up is more or less a direct boltup although the eps module is going to flip out when you discnoect it....I am not sure what that will do to the stock ecu.....with any luck, you will be using kpro.

If you've got your MR2 stuff already, great. If not, I have a complete MR2 setup (pump, control relay, power steering ECU, some sections of lines, reservoir). It's all there except for the sensor on the steering column. You could hook it up to your VSS, and have it speed sensitive. Only thing that would be missing is the steering input sensor. Maybe the EP3 has a steering column sensor that you could hook up.

I was going to do the EPS for my FWD Street Mod autocross car, but it's not going to be FWD anymore. Make me an offer if you're interested.
