d15b8 help!
i have a 94 honda civic cx hatch.im passin oil through the rings.this motor is canandian so i cant buy the same from the jap. importers. i can get a d15b7. what converstions would i have to make to get the B7 to work in my car
Swap to a 4 wire O2 sensor, use a P06 ECU, use the D15B7 intake, and ideally the exhaust manifold (if you use the exhaust manifold you will need to get a DX cat and intermediate pipe as well)
^Correct. It's a US motor. The good news is, the bottom end is the same thing as DX/LX D15B7. If you want a quick fix, get a B7 and swap heads with your B8. Assuming the B7 block is good to go, you'll be fine.
On a side note, I did a complete rebuild on my motor. If you'd like info on how to do it, I'd be more than happy to help you out.
