what is this del sol worth?
My aunt finally decided to sell me her Del Sol its a 93 i thinks its an S completely stock has power everything stock alloys its 5 speed and has 140k and no problems and its a one owner (she bought it new). Its white has good paint for its age no major blimishes the interior is spotless and black i do not have pics of it at the moment what do you guys think its worth
Overprice??? More like lesser quantity of them available. It's much easier to find a Civic or Integra than a clean Del Sol. Trust me, it took me almost 2 months to find mine.
I have to agree with the previous poster. Del Sols are rare (the newer the year especially). Finding a clean one without Z3 fenders tacked onto it or other ridiculous mods is tough. 3-4K seems reasonable. These are essentially the future CRX's.
Does your aunt know its rare?
My friend just bought another clean 95 sol for 1k

Damn good deal if you ask me

Theres a difference between how much its worth, and how much people are willing to pay, if a guy puts 20k into a car, it would make it worth 20k+ the car, but would someone pay 20k for the car? No
a del sol s in excellent condition on kelly blue book is going for like 3100, so if it were me id pay like 2k

WOW...that's a helluva steal, blown motor or not.

Honestly, a 93 S is the absolutly LOWEST model there is.
Biggest peice of **** engine, not to mention the drums in the rear.
Also you say power everything? But I'm pretty sure "most" S models only have power windows (mirrors, locks, etc were an option IIRC but not likely on the S model)
Also the 93 was before they did the targa seal change, so the top probably leaks like a mother ****er.
What are your plans with the car? If your going to use it as a DD and do little to no modding pick it up.
If your trying to find a car to turn into an auto x / drag car pass on it, its ALOT of work to make an S model sol just up to par with the si / vtec models (i'm in the processes of doing it now)

Good luck modding it, it should be fun!
do you know how hard those are to find?
also you need the del sol B series shift linkage, do you know how hard that is to find?
Actually there is nothing wrong with the car except the leaky targa top. We ripped out the D16Z6 already and are putting in a freshly rebuilt GSR. Anyone wanna buy a complete D16Z6 swap =D?
OP personally I would offer her around 2k for it since the cars are starting to get hard to find. You should be able to get a good deal since its family. Around Pittsburgh I will see a few sols posted on craigslist for around 2.5-3k a week.
