Help with replacing my fuel guage
I have a 91 si hatch. The fuel gauge is stuck at full. I found the info on troubleshooting this issue and determined that it is for sure the gauge that's faulty.
I found a lot of helpful info on here, but no specific info on replacing a faulty fuel gauge. Can anyone provide me with the part number used to fix this? From what I read, you have to either replace the whole cluster, or just the fuel gauge for $30-40 from honda. Does the replacement part include the temp sensor?
Thanks!

I have had this problem alot with other brands of cars. AND 99% of the time its the fuel pump. Well not the fuel pump itself but the weight that is attached to the pump to let your gauge know how much fuel you have in your tank. I would say take the pump out and examine it before I bought another gauge. Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.

there is no weight on the fuel pump, there is a float that is separate from the pump, if you havnt already done this, here is how you check your sender, remove back seat and pull the cover off to access the fuel tank and fuel sender, remove the fuel sender, and turn the key on, move the float up and down and see if your guage moves, if it doesnt it is probably your sender
I have already done the testing, I know it's the gauge. All I'm asking for is the part number for the replacement cluster gauge, and if the temp gauge is included.

assuming it is for sure the gauge itself that is bad it would probably be cheaper to just replace the whole cluster.
heres how you can test the gauge. this is for a 95 civic but testing procedures most likely are unchanged. i looked up a 91 si but there was nothing given to test/inspect the fuel sender or gauge.

Which item do you select in the dropdown box to see this image. I can't find it. I looked in Electrical, Console, etc. This is what I have been trying to find, and that site is the first place I looked.
On a side note, this thread is kinda funny... If I had started the thread by saying, "Help, my gas gauge is stuck on Full, what do I do?" People would be like, "Use the search button, it's your friend!!!" Or, "This has been discussed many times before, try searching!" Instead, I said that I searched the forum, found what I needed to find in order to troubleshoot my issue, and asked for a part number. What I get in response is, "Here's the procedure for troubleshooting your gauge to figure out..."
Anyway, thanks xci_ed6!!
