Default PR3 ECU compatibility.

Does anyone know if the XSI chassis harness is the same as other DA's?
I am swapping in an OBD 1 B16 from an XSI. It is from HMOTORSONLINE.COM and comes with a PR3 ECU.

I have a 90 GS, obviously OBD 0 and i have a lo cash obd0 to obd1 converter, so that i can just simply plug it in.

My question is, can i just plug the converter into the ecu, and my chassis harness directly into the converter, drop it in plug it in and be running correctly?

I am not 100% sure on this but I think the PR3 only came in obd0, the PWO had the same specs and was also available in OBD0. These ECUs were highly sought after 5 years ago because not as much was known about the obd1 stuff. If thats the case and you get an obd0 pr3 all you need is the add-on harness. Available for somewhere around $50 at rywire

back to your original question, yes if you need the converter you can simply plug it up to your chassis harness and run the wires for knock, o2 and vtec and it will work fine. You will also need to use your OBD0 injectors in the b16a or do a resistor box delete conversion to use the obd1 injectors.

you are 64% right which means you got an F.
they made 92-93 Pr3 Ecus that are OBD1.
you will still need the correct distributor. and 2 wires for the vtec solenoid.
it will fit fine and it will run, just not correctly.

What he said.

Your obd0-obd1 conversion harness should've came with a tail of wires off to the side those are the wires you use to hook up vtec and the other sensors your obd0 engine harness doesn't have. Make sure you are running the correct injectors like crx said.
