what is code 36 i think thats what code i am looking for. the ecu flashs two long and 16 short

you don't have a code 36 - you have 1, 1, 16 which is code 1 O2 sensor twice and code 16 for fuel injectors - OBD0 D-series ECUs do not have long and short flashes, only short - if it had long and short, you wouldn't get 16 flashes

you should go out to autozone, pepboys, kragen to buy a chiltons/haynes manual and itll tell you directly in the book, like how to read them and what code it is.
