Icon2 Brake fitment question

Hey guys,

I need to upgrade the brakes on my R, but i havent had the chance to fit the new wheels yet (jdm itr 16 inch) and i was considering buying a kit from fastbrakes

Either this one

http://fastbrakes.com/shop/product_i...roducts_id=418

or this one

http://fastbrakes.com/shop/product_i...oducts_id=2134

However based on these wheels offset (50) i was wondering if anyone knows if ill have fitment issues with either kit, or if using some spacers it would solve the problem.
The guys at fastbrakes told me to measure the distance from the inner spoke to the disc but like i said i havent been able to fit the wheels yet (car is at my gf´s place lol).
Any info would be appreciated

P.S- Reasons are.....car being boosted, i want better disc modulation, avoid fading (like i currently have) and at the same time shave some unsprung weight

You might want to consider cross posting your query in the Road Racing Forum, where the ITR drivers in Honda Challenge might have already made this modification and be more intimately acquainted with what will and will not work.

If you do cross post there, change your thread title to make it clear you're asking about a DC2 ITR and Wilwood caliper fitment.

FWIW, the Spoon caliper will not clear the JDM 16" rim without a spacer. not sure how much size difference there is between the Wilwood and the Spoon caliper though...

Yeah i was searching for answers last night but that was indeed all that i could find (about the spoon calipers not fitting).

Anyone with the 98+ jdm itr wheels would be so kind to measure the distance from the stock rotors to the inner spoke

I have a similar Fastbrakes setup on my ITR. It consists of Forged Superlite 4 piston calipers, and 12.2" x 1.25" discs. As the discs are so thick, my 16x7" Buddy Club QF's needs a 1/2" spacer for sufficient clearance. My 16x8" Enkei ES-Tarmac's fit without a spacer with very good clearance. But, both those kits you linked uses thinner discs (my 1.25" setup was a custom job) so they will be easier to fit behind most wheels. Sorry I can't be any more specific.
