Noise right after I shift or accelerate???????????????.........
Recently (3 days ago), I noticed that right after I am in gear and start moving, I hear a clicking noise. Sometimes I will here it also when Im accelerating and I hit the gas hard. Does anyone have any Idea of what I should look for.
Yesterday I tried to figure it out and in the street, I shifted into first and moved forward hearing (click, click). Then shifted into reverse and moved backward hearing (click, click, click). The sound isn't too loud, almost sounds like two marbles running into each other.
My car still performs perfectly but the sound bothers me. Its a 2000 Si w/ 39,000 miles, btw...............
Anyway, if someone has any Idea of what this is, I would appreciate it a lot.
thanks,
Larkin

It's your brake pads shifting in the saddles. It's normal. Serviceing your brakes may take care of it temporarily.

?? Thanks though, I'll check that out also.
Sounds more like a CV problem to me...
My car also makes the clicking noise. But that's only after I installed my 4-pot Wilwood calipers whose pads are, by design, a little loose in its place...
