Default d16a6/Mini me or d16z6

I have a 91 Base model ef hatch, and im currently OBD-0 and i was wondering what would be cheaper/faster, if i would drop in a cable ZC SOHC(d16a6) and put a z6 head on it and convert the wiring harness to obd1, or getting a z6 and converting to obd1 and converting cable to hydro, im very limited on money so what are you guys' opinions on the faster motor /cheapest way? thanks a bunch(sorry if there is already a thread like this)

I would get the complete z6 if it were me. if you swap heads on the a6 it might run fine, but you also might blow through the rings and start burning oil in no time. if you're going to swap the z6 head on the a6 you're going to want to replace rings and bearings as well. problem with putting a newer z6 head on an a6 block and bumping up the compression is you put extra stress on the a6 bottom end (which in almost every case already has a **** ton of miles on it) and you end up blowing out the bottom end.
