Default remember my ignition problem?

As you guys know, I had some weird ignition problems the past weeks. I testes out another spark plugs, another spark wires and another ITR distributor, but the problem was still there. Stuttering engine above 7500rpm with black smoke out the exhaust. I was so speachless after trieng all that stuff, that I pluged out my Apexi AVCR which hooked up the the rev sensor as well as the Haltech. So I thought about kind of interferences. But it was not the Apexi.

So I ordered a new distributor from Honda for 550 Euro

more details on the problem:

I installed the new distributor and you know what!!!!! It works!!!! I can rev the hell out of my engine again. I don't know how many times this had happend before, but can you imagine that 2 distributors from 2 different ITRs are bad. That's crazy ****!

Too bad I missed 1 big DRAG event and one local AutoX while my ITR was ill.

Maybe it's not the distributor itself, but the connections or something....

My Tuner thought it has something to do with the rev signal. The revs sensor is in the distributor and the main problem is, that all the sensors are in that samll distributor and when it is getitng hot, something can get damaged. At a sertein point the rev signal was getting crazy or something like this must be happen.

A pic from the last DRAG event while I'm changing an distributor from an other ITR.

Did you check your tach signal for normal operation ? You should also check the ignition coil on the 'bad' distributors, they might not have been within tolerence.
