Default Tried to start car in -30 temps, now backfires.

So i have a B16 swapped hatch, mostly all stock. I went out and tried to start it when it was around -30 degrees and the motor turned over super slow from the low battery, and then actually stopped turning over. I tried it again and it immeadiately turned over very fast and actually pops really loud out of the exhaust. The sound it makes when it turns over is like when you turn an engine over with no spark plugs in it. Any ideas?
