Dumb ? ...will ITR and GSR OEM strut bars fit 96+ EKs ?
actully if you have seen a pic of the CTR ek you can notice that they have a red strut bar. you can also notice that its the same style oem bar as the gsr, just in a red color. the only thing is that your ek may not have the holes in the strut towers already there so you would have to mark it and drill some and bolt them down with some bolts. the ITR bar uses the same hole location as the GSR so that will also fit once you have the holes drilled out. hope that helps

OK..I've heard that the 99+ EKs don't have those holes you speak about, but the 96-98s do....can anyone shed any light on that?

Holes in the top of the strut towers to bolt a strut bar to....or they might be in the sides of the struts...that's what we're not sure off....and if OEM strut bars would fit.
the markings for the holes are there. they're just not punched through. if you look under your hood, you can see the dimples by the strut towers.
The ITR/GSR/SI/CTR strut bars ALL use the exact same Holes!
But only Integras and SI's have the actual studs already welded in.
You will have to drill holes in everything else.
But.... If you are using the stock airbox on a CX, DX, or LX, the bar will not fit. It will hit against the stock airbox. You can mount it a little farther forward, but it will no longer be centered on the shock towers. If you have an aftermarket intake, you should be golden.
And FYI, the CTR strut bar isn't just painted red. The actual bar is made of heavier(thicker) grade tubing. I had one and held it next to an SI bar so I know for sure.
