Default 2 cut hoses on JDM B16 Tranny?

Hello, my JDM OBD0 B16 tranny has 2 cut hoses coming out by the speed sensor. By way of searching I found that they are for a power steering. What is the proper way to deal with this. Do I cap them, loop them, and do I need to put and oil in the holes? Thanks

I just looped them so nothing will get in it. You can always add a little oil to keep it lubed. but I do not think that it will make a difference.

What I did was loop them and fill the unit/hose
with power-steering fluid..

It is actually a small pump
and there have been cases of them locking up
and causing damage to the transmission.

In it's original configuration,
That was part of "speed-assisted power-steering"..

Either do as above^ or remove it completely and use a standard cable one.

Yes it does..
You may have to spin the inside of the cable until
it drops in but it should hook up the same as the original..

See the pics I posted here toward the bottom:
