who makes 2.5" exhaust for 92 cx???
Look for a shop that can make you a good 2.5" mandrel bent piping. Have a resonator made also. Without it, you might get a "tinny" crappy sound. Resonator acts as a muffler. I also heard a magnaflow makes good "low key" mufflers... Do your research. There are also good JDM systems mentioned, Type One, Kakimoto, Buddy Club.. I don't think they are "true" 2.5" ID piping systems however.. Not sure...
So there are no 2.5" systems made by apexi or tanable or any of the other easy to get brands??? Why arn't some of the jdm systems real 2.5???

what jg said. Most of the good aftermarket exhausts like GReddy, APEXi, Tanabe use 60mm piping (2.38"). They should all do the job unless you're gonna put down serious power or go FI...
I have a Thermal cat back classic system on my 95 cx. I have the factory exhaust manifold and the fitment of the Thermal system is beyond excellent. My friends who think it is stupid to put exhaust on a civic think the system sounds great. Very deep and mellow. Doesn't sound tinny or cheap even at WOT. I would recommend this system to anyone shopping for exhaust. By the way, my car is still slower than anything on the road.
you sure thermal makes a 2.5 system for a 92 cx??? If so Iam most likly just going to go with that....
DC Sports header $280
OBX cat $100
Thermal RD cat-back exhaust $450
$830
i'm pretty sure that ID on the thermal is 2.25" and that is what you should get. as far as the 2.5" collector and trying to match the exhaust to that, you still need a cat (or test pipe preferably) in there man. so if i were you i would go with a test pipe that tapers from 2.5 to 2.25. if you run a 2.5 all the way, you won't have enough exhaust velocity for max performance... just get a thermal bro.
i dunno if 2.5 inch pipe is a good idea for a cx...the larger the pipe more torque ur gonna lose...with a cheap 70hp cx engine...ur gonna do more harm than good with larger piping
