i wanted to know what is the fastes speed someone has gone with thir b16 motor??
also wanted to know what is the most HP u can get from a b16 motor?? and if u dont have a b16 put what u have and what was the fastes speed u have gone in it and HP u have please. thank you.!!

according to my cluster...i was going a little above 145 and i wasnt taching out yet so im not sure if that is really acurate and that was on a stock 00 civic si

My buddies CRX/B16A topped out at 115mph. Bad ECU.

 

Once you've dealt with the ecu cutout at around 190km/h, I would say gearing becomes a problem... depending on what particular box you are using...

My Personal experience...
My car is a 92 eg6... nothing amazing in the horsepower department, but it gets me around alright...

With my old Y21 lsd box... (died last week aged 180,000kms... RIP)
I hit my 8800rpm revlimit in 5th and im estimating it was somewhere around 215-220km/h (sorry, my cluster only reads up to 180km/h (190 on the scale for u fussy folks)

Now I'm using an S80, the gearing being somewhat longer, the gearing offers a potential top speed of around 230-240km/h... but i doubt my motor has the guts to get that high... unless im going down a damn steep hill

As for the most horsepower? Who knows... how thick is your cheque book?

As for the HP in a B16A, Lisa Kubo is pushing 650-700hp in her Civic. Of course its built to high hell, pushing around 30psi boost, and stroked to like a 2.1 liter...

Havent done a top speed run but I've gone 13.8@101 in my 2000 Si.

 

He doesn't even own a car.

 

2 meelun HP, and 1 meelun MPH.
