Default Clutch Slave Cylinder

So I'm in a bind and I can't seem to figure it out. I'm a noob, and I'm learning lots by swapping in a d16z6 into my cx hatch. So basically, I'm trying to put the slave on, but the thing is when I have the ball in the fork groove, the bolt holes don't align. I tried pushing the 'black dick' looking thing into, and it didn't work. I opened up the bleeder, and push it back in. It went in a bit so I tried to align the bolt holes again, and it's just needing a little bit more. Now, I believe its compressed all the way already.

What could be the problem?

you just have to push it hard and have a friend put the bolts in it when they align. Its something one person can do but 2 people would be cool. If you still have it connected to the clutch line you may need to open the bleader to let off the pressure
