Who has Skunk2 exhaust?
Looks like one of the better brands out as far as exhaust's,..don't really want a loud one,.(N1,Fireball,etc),.and I don't want the angled exhaust either,...won't flush in w/ the rear valance of the kit.Any suggestions?
so 1: Is it loud as hell?
2:is it angled?
3:what would be other exhausts that some of you have that seem to work well?
Had the Tanabe Racing Medalion on old TEG,.and it had the best sound I've heard,.so that might be what I should go w/?. no buzz @ all,..it was a low roar,.I was digging it!,..Now theres the Super Racing Medalion--.although,.the Apex'i n1 was proved to be the best exhaust(not on RSX) far as hp gains,..but its just too loud for me,...i can't stand it-(call me a *****)!

Well as for the N1 from apexi, I called and apexi and they said they had no plans for it yet. ggrrr.....
I have heard the magna flow exhaust and its a deep hum, but didnt seem fast when I race a RSX-S with aem cai, and magna flow exhaust. I had a inejn sri, and pulled his *** hard, I also had no exhaust to
I now have a hayame exhaust and its sounds and performs good. Pulls hard and screams all the way to redline. I am going to try and take videos of my car and brothers type R this weekend, so if I do I will post..I was supposed to make one this past saturday, but I got busy and forgot. heheh. I'll try again thou..

its actually fairly quiet. not as loud as you think. other than that, i dont know. you want quiet?
mugen, spoon street, apexi ws, tanabe hyper medalion, kakimoto R, dc sports, magnaflow, comptech, GReddy, borla.
these are the quietest exhausts i know of. mugen is probably the quietest.

FinalZero---whats the shape look like--and is it angled?
Sound really isn't all that big-a-deal,.but,.I don't want to have to put my silencer in when I drive somewhere(long trip),..I wanna just keep it off all times!Know what I mean!
cfusweed- you have the skunk2?,...does it angle,..not really a big fan of that(angled exhausts) unless I had a race lookin car but it still looks pretty cool!--I'm mainly woried about it coming throught the rear valance straight,.not lookin all ghetto pushin up on it!It has to come out straight.
THANX ALL

I'll take a pic of my exhaust tomorrow when im at work so you can view it better.
Its not angled at all, it looks like a little N1. And the sounds is great, not to loud and it comes with a silencer if you need it.. I have no intentions of useing it, but I guess in cali you need them..

Authorized Skunk2 Distributor.. If you guys want to do an RSX Group buy for the Skunk2 cat-back I can start you guys at around $449.00. + shipping for 5 sets, but the more we get the more I can chop the prices...Let me know if any of you guys are interested.. I've got high res pics and sound clips. We also just finished custom fitting an RSX Type-S exhaust on a base model RSX with minor modifications.

I got my exhaust for 3oo.oo.. Its the full cat back.. A local import shop hooked me up. He wants to sponser me so he hooks me up pretty good. I can now get DC5R parts from him as well..
It's cool that you post the price that YOU got... but try posting a guaranteed price that YOU can get these guys as opposed to what you're getting from a personal "sponsorship".
I'm pretty sure that your import shop would rather you tell people what a great exhaust you got and how helpful they were, as opposed to exposing a confidential price on a one time exhaust purchase and offering others the same deal without even naming the shop.
Besides... I haven't seen a "hayame" formula car yet... and I don't think we'll ever see one, since hayame is the name SPW gives these products as soon they hit US soil. Yes.. The Hayame name is registered in California under SPW USA.

I have the SKunk2, and I couldn't be happier with it. It's a little on the loud side once you hit 6k (I also have an Injen, so that contributes), but it's not obnoxious. I have an A'PEXi N1 on my Civic, and my Civic is not only louder, but it's higher pitched (I'm swapping it out soon). I HIGHLY recommend the Skunk. Fit is nice, the tip isn't huge, and it's not angled (at least not a noticeable angle). The only 2 problems I have with it are: 1) it sits kinda close to the bottom of the rear bumper 2) it sits right on top of my Hotchkis rear sway bar. Any ?'s email me, I don't check this site out too often.

So far the hayame exhaust has been running great and strong. I have ran into other RSX's with Magnaflow, skunk2, and greddy exhaust. All sounds nice, but I have raced and beat each one of these cars. The only one that really gave me competition was the RSX with the Greddy exhaust. And yes all 3 RSX's were the type S.
The next exhaust I am looking at is the complete SPOON exhaust for the DC5R. The standard price for the complete SPOON exhaust is very pricey depending on which exhaust I go with. If I got with the sports exhaust it will be more then if I went with the race exhaust. Here are the prices of the exhaust.
Spoon sports exhaust (axel back) -Race type= 57o.oo
Spoon sports exhaust (axel back)-Sports type = 75o.oo
Spoon sports B-Pipe = 47o.oo
So here are the prices of each total.
Spoon sports (Race type) full cat back = 1040.oo
Spoon sports (Sports type) full cat back = 1220.oo
If any this would be my next exhaust for my type S. But for now the Hayame is working good and strong. In december I go Toda, and I'm looking into the Spoon Throttle body, but I'm still looking up info and specs on this item.

Not really bro. I think he got angry because the price I got my exhaust for, from the import shop was probably $$$ money less then he sells his for. Granted I got mine as sort of a sponsorship price, standard price is like 4oo.oo dollars, and many other exhaust from greddy to tanabe which VERSUS Motorsports in Phoenix, AZ sells for under 5oo.oo. For the most part many exhaust are below 45o.oo dollars.
