Sounds like there may be some carbon build up in the EGR valve, try removing it then cleaning it with brake cleaners. I also have one for sale if that one is malfunctioning/dead.

my wife has a 98 accord lx 4cylinder and she has had that code for like 2 years now, we replaced the egr valve and it came back, we may have to take out the entire intake manifold to clean all that carbon build up, for you: i would say run seafoam through your brake booster vacuum line and clean the egr valve ports, but it not that big of a deal, at least for a accord

Is your motor so gunky that you yourself couldnt use the seafoam you recommend, just out of curiousity?

those engines are no joke man, i did an entire can of seafoam, cleaned the egr ports like 5 times, did lucal fuel injector cleaner, basically did everything basic, and the light still does not go off, i have a friend with the same car and he had to take out the intake mani and scrape all that carbon build up, then his went off, i guess thats what ill have to do, but it does have 175k and i dont think the previous owners took very good car of the engine
