Brake Light Always On
Hey everyone,
So I just got back from a work trip and left my car in the remote lot for 8 days. So I got back in the car and now the brake light doesn't turn off when I drop the parking brake. I'm guessing there's a sensor that controls the light.
Does anyone know how this light is controlled? And is it possible to replace just the sensor or whatever controls the light?
Thanks!

check your brake pads, and if you got abs. do you feel a difference within the wheels not locking?
other than that, brake reservoir needs fluid and plus, that cap rarely goes wrong.
and also, one of the uncommon thing to look at, check your brake lights. press the brake and have someone see if your brake lights turn on. if it does not turn on, it can be your brake switch on the brake pedal. i know alot of old BMWs got that problem.

Attach to your brake pedal there is this little nub either blue or black and that thing pushes against a " button switch" and when you step on ur brakes, the thing Depresses/releasing the button and it activates ur brake lights, they tend to break into pieces it happen to me..couple of bucks at the dealer.
