Default Can ATTS be removed

I have a Prelude Type-SH, but I've read that the ATTS system does not responed well if the engine is significantly upgraded (FI). Can the ATTS system be removed and replaced with an ordinary LSD? Thank you!

I couldnt think of a bigger waste of money if you want to pay extra to remove ATTS and install a LSD. But I hear it is possible. You might be better off trading for a normal Prelude; you might save more money that way if you're worried about problems with ATTS.

Did u have stock cat or racing cat..If u have racing cat that might be it. After u put a race cat on, the O2 senser is not reading correct so that's why the ATTS is not working.I have the same problem and I check with a HONDA stuff. He said it is possiable to remove the ATTS but cost a lot. Also I got a friend, He is running his non-SH lude with LSD and it seems fine.

Yeah, umm, no.

Removing the ATTS would involve swapping out the entire drivetrain & ECU for base model equivalents. Engine, transmission, exhaust manifold, ATTS, driveshafts, etc.

Just take out the atts fuse. That way it'll just be 88lbs of dead weight. It shouldn't cause you any problems, and it'll be like having a base prelude with a slightly better suspension design

44 pounds of dead weight. the rest of the weight difference between a base and an sh is elsewhere - suspension bits, the spoiler, wheels, whatnot.

the atts works fine with relatively low amounts of boost if it sees the proper map signal. there are a lot of JRSC type SH ludes running around out there. if you get into a lot of boost, you will have issues with it shutting down, and the ATTS computer won't work with any "standalone" except the EFI PMS.

the cat has nothing to do with the ATTS. i don't have the diagram in front of me, but i am almost positive secondary o2 is not one of the inputs into the ATTS unit. it does read the map signal, so you need to be careful about that.

So the EFI PMS will work with the ATTS system? Since right now I am considering doing a SH to Base tranny swap since A) My currant tranny is going to require a couple hundred bucks to fix and B) I'm going with the AEM EMS which wont support the ATTS right?
