Icon6 PM6 v P28 for V-TEC

I am waiting for the spring weather to be able to swap on my Z6 head with Y8 IM but am a little afraid of the wiring issues i will encounter. I know that the best option would be to use a p28 ecu and buy a conversion harness so that i can run an obd1 ecu in place of my obd0 pm6. But when it comes to the engine bay, would the pins from a 92 ex engine harness link up properly with the pins for my 88 CRX si? would it be simpler to just have my pm6 ecu tuned to run the v-tec for the z6 head and would it really sacrifice the overall performance of the mini-me swap? I am trying to limit the complications which i will experience doing this swap. any help will be appreciated. Thanks

p.s. i've already read the FAQ but it wasn't able to answer all of my questions.

You NEED to use the 88si engine harness you cannot use the 92 harness whatsoever. Will not plug in or work at all. Get an adapter harness for the ECU if you want to convert to OBD1. Converting has much more possibilities as far as tuning and driveability is concerned.

you add the wires off the ecu using a swap harness such as ones from boomslang, hasport, or the other misc companies that mae harnesses.

there will be a bundle of wires to add to your engine bay. some wil be used and some wont. At least with your car being an SI already you wont have to undergo a Dual point to MPFI swap

So i would splice those extra wires into my current engine harness or run it alongside the harness directly from my ecu? what about a v-tec controller, would that make it easier to run v-tec without having to rewire anything in the engine bay??

the extra wires supplied with the jumper harness you run into the engine bay to their respective places, youll have your vtec wires, your o2 wires....etc its very easy and much simpler with the jumper harness. run a p28 and no need for vtec controllers etc. if you want tuning in the future chip your ecu and get crome and tune away. its much easier then it seems.

you will use your vtec plugs off of the 92 harness to add onto the extra supplied wires to make everything plug and play. you can get creative and run your additional wires in the loom or whatever you feel like at this point to clean up the install.
