Ive currently got a b16 in my crx and was thinking on a different piston rod selection to go with untill i talked to someone and they asked me if i have ever considered a k swap . Then I remembered that my mechanic has a k24 he pulled from an accord that he said he would sell me . So Im pretty sure that is the rount i want to go . Now what i need to know is what else do i need ? I already know that i want a 5spd trans from an 04 05 si for the gear ratio , but that is about all i know . I need to know what harness i need ? axles ? ecu ? and anything else . I know what i need to get is mounted in and what not but not how to make it run .
ps . anyone here use a k24 powerplant in their own personal track car ? I know I left that part out , im building it primarily for for road coarse competition and i have heard that the k24 is heavy and can make the car hard to handle . Does anyone have expirience with this ? let me know , because im unsure to decide for or against the swap . Thanks , and there are sure to be pics coming if i get this swap going .
