Default 1990 Crx, Booster died?

So I pulled out of my parking space this morning and my brake petal dropped to the floor. No wear in the past weeks, no need to pump, just dead. Fluid was not out (but I did fill it up) and the brakes look decent. Had some smells about a week ago, but no noise comes from the brakes (grinding etc).

I do not have a manual with me and am having troubles finding a way to trouble shoot this (no way to make it to a store this weekend). Thanks in advance for any assistance, hopefully I can get my paws dirty tomorrow and fix this ol' girl up.

EDIT*** After we dug a little deeper (pulled some tires off) we found out the brake cord on the front passenger side had sprung a decent leak. So we've ordered new hoses and will flush tomorrow. Better than a booster! All is well.
