Well I called a few shops around where I live and my biggest question is some shops said they wolud paint my exterior and door jams for 1500..but they also told me that they mix their own paint...I called other shops and they had told me about 3000...and I'm assuming they do not mix there paint...by the way this is a full color change paint job...just wanna know which one I should go for..or what are the negatives on either one thanks

 

I wouldn't go to a shop who mixes their own paint. Cuz if you mess up your paint, and you try to go to another shop to get it fixed, it most likely wont match.

like no joke i have had 2 cars painted there and theyve came out Great! lol... so if ur close to the border go across and take ur car to a place called cadillac... theyll cahrge like 4 bills for like a coupe maybe 500 for a sedan.. paint lasts a while!!! lol and i thing u get a warranty down there lol... cuz my dadas warranty on his 70 cougar is still goin and it was painted about 4 years ago.. paint still shines nicely no chips =]

 

No I'm not close too tijuana....but the only draw backs too getting the car painted by a shop that .mixes their own paint is if I move away from them I proably won't find a shop tht matches the paint if I wanann get it fixed

 

Alot of shops mix there own paint. The use the same mixing banks that paint shops use. The only way it wouldnt match is if they just started pouring paint together to make a color. Pick a color with a paint code that way no matter where you go it will be the same color.
