Ok first of what ever idiots say that an obd0 dizzy will just bolt right up to a y7 block are stupid. Now I meed to know what year car will fit perfect or do I need to just buy a jumper for it or should I just convert to obd1?
A D16A6 distributor will bolt right onto a D16Y7 head. I have done it myself.
If you tried an OBD0 integra distributor...forget it.
What distributor did you try to bolt to the y7?

I tried d16z6 and no I did not try the teg one. I tried obd0 also But the thing is. I got the motor put it in and It has a y7 block and a vtec head not sure what head is on it but it looks identical to a y8 head on it. it says 96 to the right on the head above the header is that the head year or what?
^thanks for the useless reply^ here, have a cookie.

sounds like a d16y8 head.
if the "96" was in a circle with a line sererating the 9 and the 6 (9|6) kinda like that, then yes its a 96 head and if it's vtec is a d16y8 head (or possibly a d15b head) same **** though really.

What ECU are you planning to run?
I'm guessing the Y7 is the same distributor bolt patternt as the Y8.
I'm guessing you are planning to run OBD-1 as you probably already know that the OBD-0 distributor bolts right up.
There are OBD-1 distributors that bolt right up to the Y8 head... just don't use the Z6 one! I think (been a long time) the distributor I'm running is from a 93 DX. I run the P28 ECU and a Y8 head. No issues.

I am running a pm6 ecu. Obd1 one will not bolt up either for anything man. So I guess I need to try the a6 dizzy. We even tried the 89 crx si dizzy. NOOOOO GOOD!!!

i assume, you have a Y7 block with a Y8 head. (mini me)
the Y7 is non vtec.
you got the wrong engine plant. so do some critical thinking before you make the comment of calling some one stupid.
from what i hear, the A6 dizzy will WORK with a Y7 HEAD. if you had then the Y7 head (non vtec) then it should have bolt up no problem.
fyi: you needing to find a A6 dizzy and you using the 89 crx si dizzy is the SAME.
You re doing something wrong or you don't really know what head is in your engine.
All OBD0 CRX distributors will bolt right up to a D16Y7 or D16y8 head. Not a guess, it's a fact. If you are using a Pm6 ecu on a single cam D series engine, forget all other distributors. You need a CRX HF or Si distributor. Don't use the DX (DPFI engine).
Just in case. I am not calling you stupid.
The distributor only goes in one way, rotate the dist. shaft until it lines up correctly with the cam.

I know man thanks I got it running earlier everything is working fine. The coil in the dizzy was bad ha. Well now I just need to find cheap stock motor mounts for the torque mount, tranny mount, and driver side mount
