Tech Guru's for CRX's help please!

I have a 1990 CRX and I need a tranny, I found an 89 tranny for cheap. As you can see above there are some differences but the shaft size and the spline count are the same. Can I use the 89 tranny even though the clutch diameter, flywheel and disc sizes are different? All of that stuff is between the pressure plate and the flywheel so it shouldn't matter right? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It should work as I am running the same setup.
I have an 89 si tranny with a 90 clutch and a mystery for a year flywheel. I've had no problems as of yet and I don't expect any soon, I hope.

There is no problem with this combination. The input spline is the same. Only the 1988 transmission uses a different input spline. To use this transmission, you need to use a 3G Accord clutch disk with your stock presure plate and flywheel.
Since the 88 has 21 splines on the tranny what does this mean in regards to using different flywheels, clutches, etc..? Are there no upgrade options?
