Hey I am working on someone's EK hatch and their window regulator is broken but it may be repairable. I would like to try fixing it before making the guy buy a new one. Does anyone happen to have a pretty good picture of the manual window regulator of these cars. I guess the coupe is the same one so that would work too. TIA

 

I just replaced the regulator in my hatch a couple weeks ago. Got the replacement from a junkyard for $50. The nature of these mechanisms make them difficult/impossible to repair. It would probably never work the same again...I would recommend a replacement instead.

 

Get a junkyard one or buy a new one.. Dont try to fix it it will fail.. Once they start to bend around they're done. I spent 2 hours straightening one out and even tacked braces on it to keep it strong and it was a waste of time.

 

that's what I figured I looked at all the parts and none of them seemed broken but at the same time there were a few springs so I figured it would either not go back together or not work the same if it did. Thanks for the input guys I'll let him know to pick up a new one then I'll just install that.
