Speedometer shaking

Default Speedometer shaking

from 0-55mph my speedometer starts to shake or sputter. When I'm doing 60mph and over its smooth sailing..WTF?Any suggestions?

You might try greasing the inner portain of the cable..

when my speedo was shaking around it was actually the contacts on my distributor. When my car would not start all the time I cleaned off the contacts where the wires are on my distributor and then my car ran perfect and started everytime... knock on wood. But I realized when I did that my speedo stopped shaking and sputtering. Hopefully that helps too. Good luck

well ur speedo runs off the tranny and ur tach runs off the distributor so i dont see how the distributor would affect the speedo..

Which wires are you referring to? The external ones or the inside of the distributor?
