Default Lapping H22 valves ?

I have my cylinder head off because of low compression .

When I shine a light on the cylinder side of the valve and look into the exhaust I can see light through the tiny crack around the valve.

I can tell that the seats on the cylinder head are worn. But I bought new valves and I still have the small crack.

My question is should I regrind the seats or can I get away with just lapping it with the lapping compound?
