Icon3 Motor build questions ls/vtec

ok so im building a b18b1 with a b16a head and my b18 crank is pretty much done for but i have a b16a block just laying around and i am wondering if the guts in it will work in my b18b1 crank,pistons,rods etc the b16a block has a crack in it thats why im not using it so if someone has any answers lmk please.

the b series cranks are interchangable but you will need to get new bearings cause the stamps will be different. you might as well just use the b16 rods and pistons as well unless you plan on boosting it. the compression jump will make better power.

now which bearings meaning acl of course but b16 spec? and i will not have clearance issues? you are of great help i appreciate it thanx

you would need to go to a machine shop and tell them your motor and crank codes. i think with acl all the b series have the same bearing sets. the b18 has a taller deck so running b16 crank, rods and pistons would not have a clearance issue. if you had the b16 pistons pressed on the b18 rods then yes it would be a good idea to get your clearance checked but it should be ok still.

yeah now you say all the bseries cranks are the same its the rods that are longer or shorter so i think im just gonna stick with the b16 rods and pistons and go with some acl oversized bearings now is there anything that im gonna need block wise meaning crank pulley, tensioner, water pump and timing belt i already have the eagle oil line kit

leave the stock crank pulley.
get a type r oil pump and all the other parts are just extra insurance if you replace them
