my brakes are making sounds
hi i was upgrading to legend 2 piston brakes on my 96 ex accord today.
As i finished and took it for a ride i noticed that it made a clicking sound as i brake.
its not rubbing or hitting anything because it only makes that sound when i brake.
the steering wheel stays straight and everything brakes fine, its just the "click" sound.
sound only coming from the passenger side.
could it be that i didnt lubricate the wheel bearing/axle end and housing
anyone have any ideas?
rotor: Brembo
pads: hawks

If it is your axle it would do it whether braking or not, more commonly when turning. Like PADAMS said , I would look at the pads, n caliper to make sure the metal inserts are there. I was missing one on my passenger caliper, It would rattle on bumps due to the pad bouncing around.
just changed the axle today same result.
then change the calipers to another set i have, same result.
checked the pads and metal inserts everything normal.
i dont have anymore ideas

I would take the caliper completely off then reattach it step by step taking your time then rebleed the brakes, my guess is something is just wedged at an awkward angle or position.
so i reasmbled the brake again today and regressed everything and bleed the brakes like crazy and the result is still the same, maybe just alil quieter.

i just swapped them, but i have two pairs of legend calipers so i tried one set the first time. and then tried the other one the second time. always same result, its always the passenger side only. so i dont think it cant be the caliper, rotor, pad, or axle. i dont know anything else that will make that noise.
A wheel bearing wouldn't usually cause that symptom but it's possible. Make sure the caliper mounting bolts are torqued and ensure there is no dirt or debris on the caliper mounting surfaces. Being that the calipers are mounting on a knuckle that they weren't intended to, there is a possibility that the caliper is not completely centered over the rotor. Make sure that the axle nut is torqued as well (181 ft. lbs.). Another thing, that is very common but so simple it's stupid is the rotor dust shield rubbing on the rotor. That would produce more of a scouring or scrapping sound though. Try and describe the sound a little better if you can.
thud......thud.....thud....thud...thud..thud
everything is torqued correctly, and its not the dust sheild.
i bring up the wheel bearing because there is a very small dent in it.
but you say it wouldnt cause that sound.
