I roll on 17s for daily (lighter and better mpg) but occasionally will swap out for my 18s to go to meets or shows. 17's better for daily 18's more for show.
If you went 17 with a wider wheel and stretched the tire a bit it wouldn't look cheap.
i personally like how 17s look on the car better than 18s. go wit a 17x7.5 +35. or somethin like it. nice off set and a little wider will look hot. im guessing ur dropped?

Are any of you guys with aftermarket wheels having any problems with the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring) light? I want to invest in some wheels to in the future just wanted to know if aftermarket wheels will cause that light to stay on the dash?
get new tpms monitors or just swap the ones from ur stockers. i dont think the 06-07s have them tho(is this right). if the tpms light is on(not low pressure light) then vsa will always be enabled.
And before you go telling me I'm wrong, I tested this today. I almost told you that you had it backwards earlier when I read it, but thought to myself, "maybe he's right". But just about an hour ago, I took my Si out to one of my commercial snowplow accounts to see how much was on the roads/sidewalks.
My TPMS light is still on from when my valve stem broke off a week and a half ago. (I've replaced all my tires with Toyo Proxes 4s and replaced the broken valve stem/TMPS since, but haven't had a chance to get to Honda to have them reset the code).
Anyway, I was driving around, had the VSA kick on a couple times. Then I remembered your post, and decided to see if I could turn the VSA on and off. It turned off without a problem and my car spun the tires in snow without a problem. It's a good thing too, because I couldn't get up my driveway with the VSA on. Clicked it off, and she went right up there.
Also, I remember that the VSA comes on automatically with Low tire pressure from the dragstrip. I tried one time to low the pressure. For one, the lowered pressure didn't help at all with traction, and the VSA came on automatically, not allowing a good launch.
Actually...you have it backwards. When the low tire pressure light is on, VSA is automatically enabled, even if you push the button. When the TPMS light is on, you can still turn VSA on and off.
