noob to integra question

Default noob to integra question

I'll be moving to japan soon and what is the difference between the honda integra type r and the acura integra type r other than the front end, driver side location, and obvious cosmetic changes? thanks

Depending on which year Type-R you're talking about, the main difference engine wise is the header and the final drive in the transmission, that and I think the US 5th gear is taller, I could be wrong...

97-01 usdm itr's came with 5 lug and 4.4 final drive, also what's stated above.
96 jdm itr's came with 4x114 and 4.4 final drive, airbags are not standard or pdl.
98 spec itr's came with 5 lug and 4.7 final drive with slightly higher comp.

that's just some of the differences, there are more from sway bars to interior and other little things, but this is just to give you and idea.
