92 civic dx
yo, i just bought a civic dx, and it ran fine for a while up until a couple weeks ago when the engine blew, from lack of oil on my part. But i had planned on swapping out my d15b7 for something with a little more power anyways. My question is what is the most affordable engine that i can fit into it? I really dont want to spend over 1500 total. I mean a little over is fine but nothing too crazy. Im not looking for top of the line ****, just something better than that go kart engine i previously had.
a lot of '09s comming out of the wood work.
on topic, if you want cheap, you can find non vtec b18 for cheap/decent price. only thing is that they are usually the b18a's. which is fine, just gotta find a tranny cause they come with the cable tranny. or you could go with ether a d16z6, or d16y8. if you look hard enough, you could get them for around $500-$800, if your lucky.
the other engines are the b16, and b18c1. if you're really lucky, you can find them for around $1000-$1500, if you lucky, and know were to look.
