Damper Kit question
Whats the difference between a damper kit, and selecting a combined or separate coilover + shocks setup? i see the prices for damper are alot higher then finding seperate or combined coilover + shock setup. maybe im askin the question wrong any info please?
Usually a coil over set is more expensive then the separate dampers(shocks). If youre looking at 'threaded suspension kit' that is a coilover. Tire Rack sells some kits from Eibach and H&R. Some are matched shocks and springs that are not height adjustable, these are cheaper. Those that are height adjustable are upwards of $800 or so. If youre just driving on the street I think a good shock and spring combo is fine. Just make sure to get a good enough shock to handle the drop and spring rates. (Dont use a cheap or OEM shock with a 2 inch drop and 400lb springs.) Use something built for sport like Koni Yellow or other high end shock.
