Usually a coil over set is more expensive then the separate dampers(shocks). If youre looking at 'threaded suspension kit' that is a coilover. Tire Rack sells some kits from Eibach and H&R. Some are matched shocks and springs that are not height adjustable, these are cheaper. Those that are height adjustable are upwards of $800 or so. If youre just driving on the street I think a good shock and spring combo is fine. Just make sure to get a good enough shock to handle the drop and spring rates. (Dont use a cheap or OEM shock with a 2 inch drop and 400lb springs.) Use something built for sport like Koni Yellow or other high end shock.

Thanks for the info man, my goal is maybe 1 to 1.5 " drop, but i dont want to scarifice confort to much, i know i will but not looking to take my car through hard turns but i do want to put the horsepower to the wheels with upgraded suspension. im starting to research to lookup for a setup that ill like,
i do like the hard and soft adjustments on damper kits but im assuming high end shocks have the same adjustment? thanks for your time!
