Okay, here's the deal. I currently have a complete JDM front end from a crx sitting here. I own a 91 Civic Hatchback. Will the JDM front end fit onto the hatchback?
From what I've searched and understand, it's a toss up. Some say yes it will fit fine while others say the fenders will not work. I just want a solid answer from someone who has done this or attempted to do this.
Thanks.

i have no info on it, but heres a reference pix i saved years ago. im guessing cut and weld cause the lower of the fender where the mudflaps go belongs to the hatch cause the crx doesnt go all the way down..
That car was stolen and stripped. To op, you will have to chop and re-weld the fenders (rear portion from your Civic, front portion from the CRX). Pretty difficult to do from what I've heard because the fenders are such thin-gauge sheet metal (easy to warp from too much heat).

Thanks, and I believe I understand what you're saying. Too much work for what I want to do
I was just going to throw it on since I just have it laying around. I guess it will go up for sale then.

yes you do my friend has a crx front on his hatch and i have a jdm hatch front on my crx bolts up you have to use hatch fenders with hatch bumper or crx fenders with crx bumper
the CRX bumper fits on a hatch if you remove the filler and bumper, i dont think its the best fitment cause i think the fenders are different where it meets up.
Sell CRX JDM front end, buy the right ones for a hatch. CRX JDM front usually sell for more so you probably won't lose money in the end and save you some hassle of making it fit.
JDM JDM JDM JDM JDM who cares......funny how japs convert thier ricers to usdm standards and we do the exact opposite. spend money on go fast parts then worry about your heavenly jdm crx bumper lol
well ill give this a shot , since i have a spare crx 90-91 bumper in my room , so ill throw it on my 90 hatch because my old bumper is pretty damaged, and i like how the crx fogs go on the bumper, any1 recommenced I do anything else before I just bolt it on? But im going to slap on the Usdm crx bumper on my hatch

KEY/Legend:
Yellow-crx bumpers doesn't have a "filler peice" while a civic does.
Red-obviously the corners are different shapes. so fenders will need to go if you want diff corners
blue-There will be a gap here if you only remove the civic bumper/filler when you try to put on the crx bumper
FENDERS
green-this is where you "cut" & "weld". this is a much easier task, than to cut each fender in half and weld from the middle.
Found pictures of it done, this guy used his hb fenders , but the only problem is what (ef yu) said for the blue part, their will be a gap, ad from looking at the pictures that gap is really bad, but I really want that bumper on my car

A. Like they said above, use both fenders and cut the middle so that you can use the hatch bottom piece and the crx front
B. Use the complete Crx fender up until where the side moldings are put on, and then cut it right there and use the Hatch's moldings from there going down.
Those are the only options.. also.. The gap between the hood and the bumper? If you use the Crx bumper support and bumper you should not have this problem.

nice to see everyone is still getting along on this board. lol i have not been on here since i sold my 4dr to my buddy. the honda scene is awesome but two thumbs down to the thieves.
To you're guys question about the front end fitting. i have one word go to the junk yard and take the fenders off the hb and crx, and you'll have your answer. I think from what i can remember is they have the same door line, but as seen above that the crx's fenders or short near the door, because of the factor fender cap thing. The correct way to chopping up the fender dead center of it, and mending the hb in the rear and the crx peace to the front. But all in all this is retarded. Keep your car stock, and drop a bitchen *** motor in your ride, and who cares what it looks like.
First in the mid 90's it was body kits.
Then in the mid 00's it's JDM yo.
Just keep it stock looking and get a motor.
