Icon2 Fresh paint Question!

Sup guys!
Just to give you a little background....
I bought my new 99 Si on Christmas day, and two days later.... some one T-boned me on my rear quarterpanel. Anyways, now that I have it back, I wasn't given much info on how to maintain the paint while it's in the curing process. They told me not to wash it for two weeks, and to not wax it for a month..

I was wondering, would this include handwashing? I personally wouldn't think so. But I needed a second opinion. And they didn't give me any information on if the salt off the road (seeing how it's winter) would mess with the new paint. Any opinions, guys?

you can hand wash it. just be gentle. but a WAX is a no no within the 1st month as the shop said.
and TRY to stay off the salt as much as possible.

Dish soap.....NO

Buy some Maguires Car wash soap.

Do not wax for at least 1 month. I would wait 2-3 in cold weather.

Use a microfiber towel to wash and dry.

NOOOO! never use dish soap! dish soap just drags the dirt causing slight scratches. after a while you will notice it. trust me. i speak from experience. dish soap is too "aggressive"

use car soap. but not much
