Default 02 RSX TypeS Front Brakes on a 00 DC2

I was wondering if anyone has put 02 RSX TypeS Brake Calipers/Rotors on their DC2?

I know some custom work is involved, but just wanted to know if anyone has accomplished this.

On my eg (im using the same knuckle as the DC2) i have the setup.

All it takes is milling the surface that mates to the knuckle (precision milling, not grinding, as it needs to be perfectly flat) or as i did which was grind the other side down till it clears the rotor. And then i trimmed the pad retainers a bit.

Bought the rotors from fastbrakes because it already has the 4x100 pattern. thats basically it everything went right on

So I have to mill the backside of the caliper bracket that touches the knunckle? or am I milling the front side of the knuckle where the caliper bracket bolts too?

I'm sure once I put the caliper bracket on, I'll see what your talking about.

But this is great. I get to do a pretty much free big brake upgrade to my car since I have the rotors and calipers sitting the garage.

I wonder if fastbrakes sells the bracket? I emailed them so i'll find out tomorrow.

Also, what's the difference between the S2000 caliper and RSX TypeS caliper? Any difference with the pads too? Are the s2000 pads bigger/longer?

Brian (FastBrakes) is just going to tell you to get your brackets milled, unless he has a pair of milled brackets already.

both the Rsx-s and s2000 use the same pads. Their brackets merely look different on the wheel side ( the rsx is more straight and the s2k is curved) but you can use either one. Ironically i had a shop mill one of my brand new s2k brackets and messed it up, so i bought an rsx-s one to replace it. So now one side is the s2k bracket and the other rsx-s. No problems at all with them.

Both of their calipers are the same, but when mounting on your car the left side goes on the right and vice versa because their calipers are pointed towards the rear not the front, just like the s2k.

Ya I emailed fastbrakes today and he's going to redrill my rotors and machine the brackets for me.

I called around town and either no one knew what redrilling was or they said they could "PROBABLY" get it done and wanted a RIDICULOUS! amount of money.

I'd rather pay fastbrakes and know that it's done right.
