ACT clutch.... not happy... only a year old!!
i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with ACT clutches with the dampening spring popping out..... 2 of them did
that sux man, I have never had anyone in mya rea have problems with them. Thats **** dude. I'm glas I went with a competition clutch now.
never had a problem with my act on a d series. was on two motors and beat to hell, then it went on the third motor don't know what happened to it after wards. I personally don't like it due to pressure plate being designed purely and causing very stiff pedal (pretty crappy for the money). Therefore I will never buy ACT again.

ah already ordered a new kit and got it in monday.... plus i am the second owner since this clutch was put in.... it was a friends car and i helped him put the old clutch in .... so not sure they can help me......
i personally like the exedy clutches, never had a problem with them...they grip so good that i blew up my spider gears on my sohc tranny
I got a stage 1 exedy in my car, it's very nice clutch. My friend has it in his ls on 16psi and it holds up fine. About to put it in another car. The pressure plate has a very nice feel, slightly stiffer then stock but it grabs like a **** when you need it to. Anything over 300whp I would suggest competition stage 4, pressure plate feels like stock and the puck grabs ok for normal driving.

word up get an exedy clutch have one on my b16 with bolt ons for 2 yrs and its just a stage one nvr had a problam and the frist yr i beat it bad use to be able to crip 4th with 13's on the car lol but i can only get 3rd with 15s.... go exedy......
depends on how you drive the clutch really if you do a lot of hard launching and racing spring will pop out. its just going to happen. Depending on how you drive any clutch disc spring could pop out. , if you get an unsprung disc it wouldnt have happened, and for the guy who complained about the stiff pedal, you will get a stiff pedal with any aftermarket heavy duty pressure plate, i kno ppl that use centerforce and have stiff pedals as well. when switching to a heavy duty pressure plate the diaphram spring will have more tension causing a stiffer pedal. its kinda just the price you pay to play really.

As far as my Hondas go, I always bought Exedy stuff. I've never ever had an issue. Except my S2000's stupid clutch buzz. But that's a factory issue.
I'd be more pissed about the sitty camera.

Seriously I'd stake my life on an ACT clutch - there's an ACT Xtreme P.P with hybrid lined street disc running around in my wife's old car that's been beat on for the past SIX years and it still rips hard enough to bark third gear with the stock B16A2 it's motivating.
Just saying...
