Default Stock muffler replacement... Where to get good quality chrome tips?

I am about to replace my muffler with a stock replacement, and I am getting the two little ugly metal muffler pipes for the tips, but I want to put chrome tips on it, similar to the EX. Where can I get tips which are good quality chrome? Are the walmart ones any good or do they rust out? I do not want to throw away money on tips which will rust. Do you know how much money they run?

Autozone or most parts stores will have the "tips". They are all really cheap too. A chrome tip is a chrome tip as far as I am concerned. If it starts to rust a bit or blimish get some steel wool and clean them up.

I think Walker still makes chrome and stainless tips for Accords. Look at Rockauto.com to find out if they have your specific application. I think they were about $20 each for stainless.

I'd go with polished Stainless. They'll most likely outlast the car, but at least you won't be dealing with rusting chrome.

On my last muffler 2 years ago, I bought a tip from walmart, I think it probably was painted chrome, because it started rusting the second day it was on. I do not want to run into that problem, but I do not know what to look for in finding chrome that will even last the life of the muffler.

I was wondering if I should just go to a junk yard and get the ones off a EX muffler, if those would be better quality than the ones the auto parts stores or muffler shops sell.
