Default exhaust advice

I currently have a DC shorty and a greddy evo 2 catback. I dont want the huge can on the back anymore so I was thinking about selling the exhaust and going back to stock. Thing is, I dont want to lose my gains (yes ive got kpro) and noise isnt an issue.

Could I keep my gains constant if I go with a DCRH and back to stock catback? Or would i lose power by not having my greddy catback. Thanks.

Basically, which setup has more power? Would the noise stay the same with the race header if it was offset by a stock exhaust?

DCRH + Stock catback
DC Shorty + Greddy EVO2

well the 05-06 stock exhaust gives you pretty good HP from what i heard i think the difference between the stock an aftermarket is 2hp try the DCRH im sure you will gain more HP out of that if they pull you over just say your stock i always get away with RH cause their in the back :-D

either way with your cat still on you really didn't gain anything but noise! So you will be ok to put your stock exhaust back on.

Yeah another option is buy the 05-06 exhaust which is better than the 02-04

I assume since your suggesting it the 05-06 exhaust will fit just fine on my 03?

The plan is to get a DCRH with a stock exhaust. I dont want a huge can/tons more noise. I know with a cat, itd be quieter, but I want the RH and feel the only way to compensate the noise is to revert back to stock catback.

Also if anybody has feedback on the DCRH. Like does it rattle on the bottom of the car like the stupid exhausts do when water gets in them?

the rattle is hit or miss....

my DCRH does not rattle, my buddies does... I had my DCRH on stock exhaust and it was still quiet. I have the evo II and my exhaust sounds great..I don't know what's with yours then

the 05 will fit fine yes.

Well it sounds fine. Nice low rumble. Its just when its pouring outside and Im driving through a bunch of rain, sometimes water gets between the cat and starts to rattle on the bottom of the passenger seat. Sounds like my cars falling apart. When it first happened I was like OH NO! lol, then I realized what it was.

So my question is essentially answered about a stock exhaust and DCRH noise level. I just dont want to buy another performance exhaust. Its prob a bunch cheaper to get a. 05-06 stock exhaust.
