well my friends car 00' SI is all stock. but it was thrff recovery when bought..
it worked fine as we collected all the parts to bring it back to it's stock functioning abillities.
two days later, the car is just simply not reading the ECu. same characteristics as when i take my ECU off of my car...no prime, no CEL....and so on.

we brought the ECu to my friends stock EM1 and tried my biddies ECU. his car runed on, but it thew CEL: 54 CKF - crank fluctuation sensor. well that is odd to me. will this cause my the EM1 to act as if no ECU is hooked up? then why did it turn on my others friend car? could that mean that somethig burnt out on my frineds car? if so, what?

i appreciate any help. and if anyone needs more info please ask and i'll be more that willing to expain for trouble shooting purposes.

 

well, i gues it could be the main relay, so does everything still get power? like the heater and stereo?>?? maybe your batter is dead as hell, or unpluged? if the battery is fine i would say main relay and check the blue 15am fuse and all the other fuses under the hood

 

Also check the engine ground wires, including the battery ground wire and the ground on the thermostat housing.

 

DAMN. it sucks cause we have gone through all of this. it all only makes sence to me, but yet i keep coming back to nothing?

hey guys thanks alot for the effort. we figured out tahat the harness, where it plugs in on the driver side has a couple of pins that were loose within the plug. and now the car turns on. for anyone with issues like this. CHECK YOUR GROUNDS. FUSES. AND PLUG TERMINALS.
