Lemme see your Bosch 044 setups!
Im going with E85 and my fuel system is not up to par. I've got a single in tank walbro 255, and going with the bosch 1000's and wanna make 500-550whp. So I've been told to do a Bosch 044 inline with the walbro to feed it.
How do most people do it? I was just gonna cut the fuel line under the hood and then flare it to an AN fitting then to the 044. Would it be better in the rear of the car, and use a bigger feed line from the rear? Whats the best way?

OP: This is the way I did it, just bought my pump from Tony not long ago... he can supply you with the fittings for the pump to go to AN or whatever else.
Basically my setup I am just a walbro intank, then using the -6 AN male to 12x1.25mm male fitting in the top of a new stock oem filter, -6 AN line from it to the pump, out from the pump in -6 an line... right to my fuel rail. Pump/ pump fittings T1 supplied, rest was already done... just had to add the pump inline with my line to the rail, but it sounds like he can hook you up on the whole deal if you dont already have the pieces like I did.
I did this to give me some more head room and piece of mind that I have enough, as opposed just the single walbro and 1000's alone I had run to this point. Super simple and effective.

Not sure but since Im on E85 the walbro 255 isnt nearly enough (bout 450hp max) So with the bosch stacked. U can run way higher fuel press and run the 1000's like there 1500+cc. I would imagine 600+ could be attained that way (on E85). U could prob do 700 with racegas.

My original goal was 500. So my future tuner recommended a bosch 044 simply because the newer injectors can handle much higher fuel pressures. So that way I could take advantage of them. Then later on when I wanna go with more HP (since my turbo is good for 600+) I just gotta get a retune. Wont need anything.

Not sure, using the mph and weight of the car, I would say its making a good deal over 450whp, he used no form of boost control and it would blaze 1st and 2nd with the 24.5's, I think it had 146 in it as it sat. Base FP was 50psi and duty was in the mid-high 80's using AEM EMS.
Tony do you think you dyno reads low?
I think my dyno reads normal, i think some others read high.

I would mention what it made on the dyno but it was the notoriously high reading dynopack, so its really irrelevant, but the MPH is there for over 500whp out of the single pump in his car.
I use the same Injectors out of this car and one extra 255 inline and made a hair less power before I lean out on the gauge, I am assuming its the Injectors and not the pumps that are maxed out.
James's car was a freak. I still have no idea how his car ran that mph with the 1000's and a single walbro on E85. I do remember the base fuel pressure was up there. I think we ended up leaving the power at 550whp, b/c it was leaning out above that even though it made like 580-590whp at 2psi more boost the a/f's were getting into the high 12's at that point. Duty cycle was pegged at 100% during that run.
Yeah, i guess i should be more specific. When I say 450-500, that's leaving the dyno and running at that, not completely maxed out to the point of leaning out. I've made 550whp on my dyno on 1000's and a 255, but it was at 13:1 a/f ratio by the end of the pull. I'd never let a car leave that way. Sounds like maybe he was running it that close to destruction.
There's no question it was making a lot of power for that mph and weight. What was the weather like? Winter? Any chance it was more like E70?

installing the fuel pump... how long is the bradied line under the car.. cause i am wanting to do this external bump and i am wondering how long is the line that i need to buy thanks!!!
It says above. There is no need for putting the pump in the rear of the car. Simply install it after the stock fuel filter in the engine bay. At most you prob need 1.5ft to go to the fuel rail. done..

I know what you were refering to, I wouldnt of mentioned it if the car was running lean, as Jeff said it's a freak, when I first got the phone call the day of his tune I couldnt believe it either. Definately was no where near destruction he put 10-15k miles on the car in that trim/boost level and 30-40 passes, the head came off a bunch of times and all was golden.
He only races it during the summer and it gets in the 90's out here, he was definately tuned on E85, I was tuned on E70 and ran out of fuel before he did with one extra 255hp and the same Injectors, but I contribute a few quirks that made me fall short on fuel on the day of my tune. I ran out of duty and leaned out at 20-21psi when I went down the track using E85 with an outside temp of 33degrees with a big old 4" Intake tube coming out my front bumper, which my guesstimate says around 500-525whp on my car.

I have seen the V8 guys running the Boost-a-pumps on the the walbro255's to get away with single pumps. Just seems like it would kill the pump faster and that it would be over-working itself.
