My ac compressor continues to cycle on when ever I have the blower motor on. Its rather cold out here in Virginia so as you'd assume I have the heat on. Only to look down and the AC button will be illuminated and I can tell the compressor is cycling. If I try to press the AC button to shut it off it does nothing,at least for a solid minute or two.


I have not checked the freon pressure yet,im going to do that tomorrow just wanted to get a head start on other possible issues that could cause this.

 

Which setting is the airflow on when it's doing this? Windshield or Windshield / Floor?
Or does it do it all the time, regardless of setting?

 

It does it just about all the time on every setting.

When you have the defrost on the A/C is going to come on whether you want it to or not.

I was wrong. It does only come on when defrost is on and recirculation turns off when ever air blows from the defrost of through the floor.
