The January 25th show in Gainesville was a huge success, so Palm Beach has been added to the 2009 schedule. Hopefully it is also a success and IFO can return year after year like other locations (schedule below) some of which have been going on for 9 years straight! Here's the info for the Palm Beach event...

NOS Energy Drink's IMPORT FACE-OFF will be in the Palm Beach area on Sunday, February 22nd from 10am to 5pm at Palm Beach International Raceway (formerly Moroso Motorsports Park) in Jupiter, Florida. $6000+ in cash and trophies will be awarded to car show and race contestants. Activities will include: car/truck/bike show, 1/4 mile drag racing, $400 Hot Body contest (ladies, call 225-247-7223 to register), Usaci Stereo crank it up contest, burnout contest, DJs, vendors, giveaways, etc. Group discounts are given to car clubs and FREE competition vouchers are given to contestants who travel from 200+ miles away (must preregister to receive free pass/discounts). SFWD Quick 8 $1200 presented by S.P.E.C. (FWD 4 cyl only, slicks and open exhaust OK)
Street Class Quick 8 $1000 by Forced Performance (FWD, RWD, or AWD 4/6 cyl or rotary only, DOT tires and muffler required)
All Motor Quick 4 by Hybrid Racing $500 (F/R/AWD 4/6 cyl or rotary, n/a engines only, slicks OK for FWD only, open exhaust OK)
Outlaw Quick 4 $500 (any import or domestic sport compact body/engine)
Bracket 14.99 and Faster $200 presented by Central Performance (any import or domestic sport compact)
Bracket 15.00 and Slower $200 (any import or domestic sport compact)
Motorcycle Bracket $200 (any motorcycle of import origin)
*full fields required for full payout. Full = 8 cars for Quick 8 classes, 4 cars for Quick 4 classes.

EVENT PRICES:
Spectator $15 with flier (reg $17) ok to print flier below off computer
Test and Tune Racer $20 (open to any make/model)
Competition Racer $30 (imports/sport compacts only)
Car show entry $25 ($20 with group discount, must preregister to receive)

We need help passing out fliers. If anyone would like to help, please email your name and mailing address to hybridentertainment78@yahoo.com Promoters are assigned a number and are paid on commission, $2 for every flier that comes in with your number on it. Spectators bring in the fliers because of the $2 off admission coupon. Checks are mailed out within a week after the event. The program pays well if you get enough fliers out. There are successful, repeat promoters every year at every location.

I wonder if their will be more K turbo cars then you and us again ( our car is that chameleon EG that went 9.99 at 18 lbs ).

 

Put gp1 racing/ hybrid racing down for all motor!

yep, maybe.

Let's make this event a quick 16. There were 12 at the Gainesville show last Sunday, so almost made it. Recruit from the TnT and bracket lanes if you have to. There were several other turboed hondas that should have been racing heads up.

 

We are going for sure...

count in about 6-8 cars...

we seriously need more helping advertising this event. Fliers have been out for a week and only one person has signed up to help. Flier distribution and spectator turnout is extremely important in the success of these events. Local shops, you passing out fliers to your customers is the single most effective way to help the event return year after year.

You may consider adding an old school, or Modified class... and promoting heavily on the hispanic media outlets... thats where you'll have the best results at a Moroso race... my .02
