yep 1000ft i believe for all of 2009 for sure. Lame but oh well, with them hitting these speeds in 1000ft, i believe it nullifies the whole 1000ft measure...but this argument will never end until the day 1320 comes back.

It just means that if they do go back to 1320, they will have to tune the cars all over again. Even though they have all of the old data.

why not just put some front discs on them and go back to 1320. they get 20-50 lb weight penalties yearly anyways...why dont they make the weight something worth adding

Sometimes you will see a dragsters front wheels fold up when going in reverse if it shakes a little because the front wheels are offset. The steering is a little fragile. I dont really think they could apply too much braking force to the front wheels without having issues.

im sure if they could, they would have already done it. but whats wrong with limiting the underdrive pulley? just thinking of ways to let them go 1320. im sure they have thought about the pulley also

Why would they need to re-tune. They shouln't have had to change the tune at all being that they are going a shorter distance. The tunes that they had still went thru the 1000 ft mark.

Yes. But now they are tuning for that 1000ft mark... When it was a 1320 they were still tuning for 1320.. In hopes that they wouldnt grenade everything.... They say that now that it is a 1000ft , they wont hurt parts... But that really isnt the case. They will probably strat having failure around the 800ft mark.. lol
