gst swap into a 5th gen!
yep i said it right. i was at import performance in daytona. one of the guys thast works thier put a dohc turbo mitsu swap into his car.!! i said i wouldnt believe it till i seen it.so he said come outside and look..i was like no way!
and it actually looked clean. i couldnt tell where the original mounting spots were, being im not too familiar wit 5th gens. and the was sooo much room on the passenger side above the tranny. it wasnt running yet and i didnt check how the linkage and wiring was done..but it cant be any harder than a h22a swap..
so a 200+ hp dohc turbo car out of the box...only thing is its got the heart of a dsm..
so would u guys even think of doin this swap or is it just gay??
i personally would pick the h22a over it..but it is very interesting..

I'd do it if the Mitsu's didn't have shitty transmissions.
most guys here in H-T wont give him (the installer) thumbs up for this but i think its cool. hey if a guy can put a dsm motor into a civc, type-s into a 7th gen civic, than u can put a magnum v8 into a del sol...
in that street racing movie mischief theres a dude in there that puts a gst engine into his truck...it was a mighty max truck so ya i thought that was a little cooler but just letting you fellas know
